World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance as well as PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgrading item upgrades Casesgg will also reroll their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make things inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading and their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circular arrows within the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you will receive from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock each fountain, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some improvements to the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a table or the Alchemist's chest. However, the cost of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Also, putting a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and refills the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The potion table has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly significant such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades to trinkets are an affordable alternative to buying a new one. A player can upgrade a trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they're no longer needed which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment they will not replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade players must also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.
Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade will ruin the previous trinket until it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying a new one.
